Default Ebay.....weird?

I like a lot of people do some buying and selling on EGAY.
But what I've recently noticed since joining here and looking @ scooby parts is the fact that people pay almost the full going rate of new gear for what is basically "bought in error" or "never used" gear, and In some extreme cases "secondhand","used but as new".
I noticed this when searching for drop links and I found a set of "preloved" for £1 less than brand new.
Good if your a seller but strikes me as a bit weird/stupid,you're going to get much better service from a recognised outlet surely, there's scammers on EGAY,there's even some on here and as we know from previuos threads peoples ideas of immaculate, etc can differ wildly..
Bored,bored....

i guess it's just knowing the proper market value and sticking to your limit, normal ebay stuff. but many haven't a clue what the going rate is and it's staggering the amount of people who get caught up in the auction bidding war.

saying that though, you try selling a car on there and getting decent money!

Personally I don't buy off Ebay anymore.
I sell the odd little thing but sick of the scammers so sell things to mates for a lot cheaper than the going rate.
Would prefer to use a proper company like Revolution etc to get all my stuff from and know that I'd be getting the best services possible.
