I would assume they can.

For non ecutek cars running the 32 bit ECU (Hawkeye and later models), if you know someone with a Tactrix cable and ECUFlash, you can buy Launch control and Flat foot shifting here tinywrex

Well I assume with launch control you can dial it right down so it doesn't need to be "full bore" as you say. But obviously this would not be used at every traffic light ... although ......

I had the option of launch control on the Simtek but decided to leave it in favour of the health of my clutch and gearbox

Yes you can map launch control into the ecu via ecutek mine had it done by Rich at powerstation @5700 activated by selecting 1st gear as soon as you launch it reverts back to its origional map but you are at full boost

Full bore? With launch control? Id disagree: Id say after three full launches youd be lucky if it still worked, and thats with a six speeder...

ECUs may offer the features but an out of the box transmission and turbocharger simply can not deal with launch control and anti-lag (thats real anti-lag, not the spitting and popping on the over run, which is what most people are after).

six speeders are wayyyyy stronger than that, i know a guy on scottish scoobies who runs 550 plus in a newage with a 11.02 quarter mile time who has done umpteen runs down the strip and even more trackdays with no box issues so far, and he uses L/C too

agree with the above about the gearbox strength.

last drag meet did about 7 or 8 launches at 6000rpm and 1.3bar (launch control) with no problems from the gearbox..............the exedy organic clutch on the other hand..............

I think that we have differing opinions as to what constitutes 'anti-lag' and 'launch control'.
