I have contacted them in the last week about importing a new Skyline. They seem reputable enough, with all the relevant web standard accreditations - at the same time, I agree that the prices haven't changed in months and yet there's no discaimer about exchange rates..

They seem nice enough on the phone and have been around for some time, so they're probably legit, just a bit disorganised?

Anyway, time will tell..

Later,

MS.

David,

the car they are advertising is a new Japanese import 34 V Spec. I am getting them to find out how much they can get the last Nur spec Skylines for before the end of R34 production in August.

Cheers,

MS

Matt, the entire run of 1000 Nur cars both V-SpecII (not V-spec) and M-spec, to commemorate the run-out of the R34 were sold out on the first day they were announced (Jan 24th)

I would warn away STRONGLY from Micronet.

Sorry to be vague as it was 6 months ago that I looked into this, but basically I discovered that the guy who owns Micronet has a black mark against his name for I think either going bankrupt twice or being struck off a register that allows you to own a company.

Yeah I know I dont sound like I know what I mean, but I forget the details. Either way I wouldnt be sending my cheques.

Log on to carimporting.co.uk - there is info on the site about Micronet(or there was on the forum at one point)

It is an effort I must admit.

I keep speaking to a guy there, and ask him to confirm every thing he has done and when he has done it. Have I had a call yet! Have I heck.

I will give them tomorrow to send a fax for me! Thats all I am asking them to do! They seem to think IM will and should contact them!

Yes, they imported it. I got it after it had done 2500 miles, but the previous owner never registered it with IM.

However he had have the idea to put a full scoobyport 'zorst inc' downpipe and ITG filter, thank you for that!

Bear in mind Martin, that Micronet cannot import Skylines from Europe (as they were never available there).

The cars advertised on Micronet are the UK spec cars (ie. leather interior etc) but all 80 official UK cars have been sold by the only distributor in Europe (Middlehurst Motorsport Nissan).

The only car you could get from Micronet would be a used Jap Skyline, along with all the "issues" that has. The car as it's currently advertised is no longer available.

David
One of the 80 offical UK car owners
