Default Excessive Posting Behaviour

I have noticed a strange trend that has occured recently..

There seem to be an increase in people who just cannot let a post go by, -

without commenting on every single post in the thread, - even if that means multiple posting -one-after-the-other-after-the-other in succession.

I know that there has always been the odd post ***** or troll, but this is something else!!!

Am I the only one to notice this?

Since joining, my post count is a whopping 2.6 posts per day.......hmmmm....excessive

The thread starter seems to be contradicting himself

Let the flames, infrantions and eventual ban happen......hell, I don't even own a scoob anymore anyway...pmsl

Quantity is fine, if its spread accross a number of posts asking for technical advice etc...
1x brakes
1x engine
1x Scooby General
etc...

Hol

maybe some people like to voice their opinion of threads, I mean it is a public forum isnt it?

Most posts are asking for opinions in a roundabout way, bit like this one cant see what the problem is.

Valid point Jay (how may posts have you got...!!?)

I think this will go on forever and there will always be people for and against as there is no clear definition of excessive.

But, I just wish more people came on here with a view to helping and imparting knowledge rather than use it as a soapbox.

Hol: I have never used this forum as a soapbox, Im fairly opinionated and occaisonally lose my rag, but saying I post excessively (and lets face it, you said this thread was directed at me in another) is just simply not true at all.

One reason I still post here now is because unlike most ppl that move away from the marque, they forget where some of their roots lay and go off saying how fantastic their new car is compared to the last. Im not like that, whereas I don't like seeing Evo's badmouthed, Im the same over on the MLR with regards to Scoobies.

Ive had a few days off work and tended to be online more than what I would normally, hence me replying to a few posts.....I fail to see the problem, I think in a reply somewhere Ive severley (spel) got your back up and you've taken great offence, if thats the case, Id rather you PM me than open a thread about "excessive posting"

most of my posts are spam (northern section)

but I do post in nsr and general, and did start off in technical whilst learning about the marque and helping other (must admit though do get bored of that) Also I post a lot whilst at work as I get bored!

(hey look another addition to my post count )

Eight hours at work on a Sunday would make anyone needy for human interaction...

Even just typing cr4p on a forum !

It seems this thread is between the OP and another user on this forum, so we should let them sort it out, as I feel us lot have nothing to contribute.......

I've always associated "general" to pub talk.... lots of people giving their opinions regarding a subject/question, with generally very little expert knowledge on the matter... but that's good... it makes for entertaining reading and banter... and like in a pub, 2 people will sometimes get involved in a heated convo...with sometimes name calling etc.. but it's all part of the pub atmosphere in my opinion... we're all grown up's (well most of us are)... and we're all passionate about Subaru's (or all petrol heads anyway).

If I wanted a straight answer to a serious question about my car..I'd go in Technical.

If I wanted to have a laugh I'd post in the Hutch with the muppets.

So If I wanted a "chat" revolving around a light hearted question about something remotly scooby related..and want lots of feedback..then General is the place.

The Hutch used to be called the muppet lounge or summot like that... (it's been 4 years and my memory is not what it used to be )
