MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION
I'm currently running a 55 plate wrx300 that is standard. PPP kit provided by stealer blah blah blah. Now what is the best, safest and yes cheapest options for more power without the risk of a meltdown on the school run??

Get a Prodrive sportscat (or if you're willing to risk it, a decat downpipe) and a decat uppipe off ebay. After a remap, you'll be looking at 280-290bhp.
To get over 300, you need a new turbo and injectors. Lots to choose from and pros and cons to each, so you need to speak to a specialist.
While you're at it, get a new panel filter (Green or K&N etc) and a Walbro fuel pump. Won't give you more power, but worth doing.
