Unhappy help smokeing scooby

hi can any one help? my scoob is smokeing from the exhaust maniford caseing i think its oil?looks like its coming from the rocker cover on the right!? is it a big job to charge the gasket. does the engine have to come out or can u get to it with out.

More than likely the rocker cover on the drivers side by the sound of it. Engine doesn't have to come out to change but it is an awkward job.

thats wot i thought but oil coming from the right hand side but smokes coming from left side? got under today to have a look.u cant see it running down its not that much oil. only happens when cars running?the oil just looked fresh there on my fingers?

if you are going to change the gasket i recomend you change the half moon inserts and rockercover bolt seals aswell (if your scoobs has them) save taking apart twice !

not to sure mate its a 96 wrx ra import.just hope it not some thing else!? like a crack in the botton end!! just got it back after crashing it. £1000 and 3 months later.i only had it on the road for just over a month. and i got it in april! having some bad bad luck at mo!!
