Default Changing the car (maybe the scoob)

Changing cars in the house.

My o/h wants to change his tow car (for his race car and not caravan before you moan).
This seems quite straightforward until he came up with some ideas and dragged me into it. Now I have to decide by tomorrow (Thursday) morning.

Option 1.
He changes his tow car to a Saab 9-3 1.9 etc. He knows the spec of the one he wants.
My Scooby stays with me.
In a few months time he will then buy a Mk1 Escort (maybe Mexico) for the fun road car

Option 2
He changes his tow car to a van.
He buys a white Evo TME
I have to sell the scoob.

He thinks that option 2 is the best choice, but I am a moving towards. option 1

My thoughts:
I am not looking forward to the day I part with my scoob, it has been a great car and looked after well. I am expecting the next owner to trash it.

For a long time I have wanted a red TME Evo as my next car. The o/h said if he gets one then it will be white. He gets to pick this because he is buying the car (I would be paying the insurance, tax petrol and half the servicing). Shame I can't run the Evo and Scoob.

I hate vans and would have to drive it a few times a month.

I like the idea of having the Escort available to drive.

What would you do and why?

he wants you to get rid of your scooby so he can get an evo, not even the the red tme one that you want.....and you have to insure it, tax it and fill it as well?? let him have his saab if you ask me!!!!!

Hold out for a Red TME if that's what you want, you are giving up your car after all.

Red TME to help you with your decision

Default Hold on

a sec:
he gets a saab then a nice 'race' car in a few months, or he gets a van and an evo and you have to get rid of your pride and joy the he also gets a 'race' car in a few months
Your other half needs to step back an stop being a selfish c**k sorry but my other half wouldn't even dream of askin me to sell she knows its my baby and when I did cause of petrol and fancied a change she convinced me not to.

So Nicci tell your o/h to stop being so bleedin selfish keep his van or saab an you keep your scooby wna*er sorry this has made my blood boil inconsiderate ape.

Option 1, never sell your own car to fund someone elses!

Howdy BTW.

Scouse, he already has the race car. He needs something better than the current estate to tow it.

Parking is an issue at home, which is why he is not getting a fun car and tow car and my scoob. We used to have that and the neighbours were not impressed (yes the house is up for sale).

O/h sees getting the Evo as a way of helping me get the car I want.

And to V, the money from selling my car would go into my bank a/c and not him, so that is not so bad.

Does the trailer sit at your house, if so put your fun car on the trailer 2 for 1 in spaces. Me and the misses have no room for my track car so it and the trailer are stored elsewhere and i get use of the works van for towing.
