k+n or panel filter

k+n or panel filter
I have a k+n induction kit but thinking about going for a panel filter .what's the pro and cons of a panel filter? And can anyone reccommend a filter?

heard induction kits are killers to the MAF on the 99-00 uk turbo's
my MY 98 uk turbo had a big HKS mushroom filter but that was on it when i gotit,certainly heard it sucking theair in!

heard its induction kit only when going FMIC due to the way the pipework goes
someone else will confirm that as i am still a novice with a lot of scoobyknowledge!
