Default Asda Charity Track Day at Bruntingthorpe

This was our 4th year at this great event, this year the WR1oc was joined by Midlands Scoobies, what happens is numerous car clubs are given a free track day in return for blasting members of the public around the track who pay £5 a go,people can chose from subarus, evos, vipers, atoms.lotus, porshe, skylines,gt 40,tvrs and more.
Asda also lay on a hog roast an air show, rally village, trade stands and events arena.
We had a tv crew with our club and also some top brass from subaru uk testing a couple of new cars.
The highlight of the day for me was a young racing driver called Tom Dunston who spent the day with our club,Tom drove a spec D subaru around the bruntingthorpe track faster than anyone I have ever seen, what also amazed me was how easy he made it look, nothing could keep pace with him, what a talent.
here are a few pics.

Last year we raised over £20000,this year we hope to have raised over £25000,so a great day its a shame its only once a year, but a big thank-you to Asda and the Walton family for the free use of Bruntingthorpe top people, and if you know a race team who need a top driver call Tom Dunston.

Thanks chunkb

It was a fantastic event and Tom, Fraser and I were so pleased we were able to add to the amount raised for charity and above all else we had a lot of fun with friends and like minded people.

If anyone wants to take chunkb up on his suggestion and have Tom drive a car feel free to PM me and/or look at his website.

I'd like to see him drive in the time attack next year.
