Default Car holding back

Just recently the car seems to be holding back and it gradually getting worse round about 4-5k mark. The boost is ok at a constant 11psi all the way through, first thought was the maf? but jus wanted to double check.

also im running it on 99 ron , and it intermittent someday itll be fine some not.

Any thoughts? as it's a green label so a decent price to pay out if its not that

Right.

I had hesitation, like yours, took it to the Scooby place, couldn't find anything wrong.

Eventually the Blower went!!

What it was, the CAt in the Up Pipe was falling to bits.

Every time I took my foot off the fun pedal, the back draught was sucking up bits of the cat.

It eventually screwed the blades on the Blower up.

I had an STI DECATTEDD UP PIPE fitted.

I have never looked back.

NOOOOOO Hesitation, or a knackered Blower.

Apparently according to respected Garages on here, it is more common than you think.

Good luck.

I hope this helps.

Regards

I had the same problem, would run fine up to 4000rpm then she would hold back in every gear except 1st and not want to accelerate through it no matter what, yet if i throttled really gently it was fine, would only be under heavy acceleration. Posted thread on here a while back and tried everything suggested. Took to local subaru specialist (not main dealer, no way) who thought it may be gearbox speed sensor. After checking fault codes (and putting the check engine bulb back in that some previous w**nker owner took out), nothing showed up, low and behold it was the maf sensor, whick doesnt throw up a fault. Alot of people say that this would only cause idle and low speed faults. Have new maf in now and running sweet as day 1. Give it a go, sensor cost around £90. Hope this helps, know what ur going through, its a pain in the ****.
