Cool roads eh, I get to work there all year round

its just a shame work wont let me use the subaru to get about

Glad to hear you had a good time, there are some amazing coastal roads around there, Criccieth and Barmouth are also very good places to stay. and the crown in Barmouth is only £30 pp per night (including a bottle of wine in newly refubed rooms). Bargain

Nice in the summer but I bet it can be a bitch in the winter, especially if you don't have your scooby to drive.
Cheers for the info, I will be going back next year and if I had the money I would prob have a second home there too, amazing place, ur lucky to have those roads to drive on, tho have to say to some of the blind corners lol

...oh and we did get to the coast, don't know where it was lol we just seemed to find ourselves there and stopped when the road ran out!

Not shore to be honest I'd have to ask my girlfriend, she knows the area quite well, most the shots were on the way to mnt snowdon, most the roads we went on were around the north and east of snowdonia national park, we stayed in a place called penwyn doudrith (think thats how you spell it but probably not) near porth madog, Dinas Mawdy does sound familure .

Yeah had me eye out for them the sneaky gits, didn't see any though. I was taking it easy most the time though anyway, at least until I new the roads , if you do go to these parts please don't drive too fast if you don't know the roads, you WILL get into trouble,I had a near miss on a blind and tight bend, luckaly I was going slow as the car coming my way was half in my lane it was very very close

Brunstrom really needs to get a life.Maybe if he worked in an inner city area,he might get his priorities in order.
Can't believe any self respecting copper would go home thinking that they had achieved something sat in the back of one of those!

Not just the hills, sheep and roads in North Wales, the coast is beautiful too>

Sonorous Welsh music at quiet and relaxing Beaumaris>

Nice walks at some areas of outstanding natural beauty (wellies essential, though)>

I am bias, too right

Lucky you mate, Criccieth in the summer is awesome and the road from porthmadog through to abersoch has some awesome views.

I normally stay in the lion or red lion is it nice little hotel and pub, Cant understand why they dont have a pub on the front by the castle there are some stunning views around there.

north wales can be pretty spectacular on a good day, the outdoor leasure business has gone crazy since i lived there, i grew up around BALA , and we used to go to porthmadog in the summer , black rock beach especially
the roads get better the further into the middle of north wales you go

LOL @ post 20, JPF

You are right, Wiley.
Roads like Brecon Beacon roads are awesome

Sea views are magnificent

Lakes and rivers at the beacon are breath taking

And, gigantic Carmarthen Fans patterns seem to be scratched on from some giant's hand!

Wales as a whole is very beautiful, no doubt. Good roads, astounding landscape, and cleaner air

Grew up in Chester and used to drive around there when I was a lad. Unfortunately in a beige 1.3 Mark 3 Escort estate! Must get up there in the Scoob sometime.

Used to be over in Bala a lot, fantastic roads, only downside was the amount of caravans about.

as someone menchoned erlier, the roads round hear esbesialy round the valleys of snowdon are spot on for scooby driving (belive me, i know, spend a whole lota time up their, haha) but if you do go up those ways, TAKE IT EASY till youv driven it at least once, they are very unpredictibl and youl almost garanted to meet a bus or a damn caravan in the middle of the road, or a sheep... or goat, haha, glad you like the area, ill try nd get some pics iv taken from up their.
