i have cusco coilovers on my RA not sure which model though, there a bit hard for UK roads i think, when cornering at speed on a bumpy road the car seems to jump and skip across the road due to the hardness

Had similar issues with the Cuscos on my STi2, as most of the roads I used were country roads it was quite a harsh ride! However when it was on the track it was absolutely fantastic, wouldn't hesitate to buy another set, as long as the car wasn't a daily driver

tbh i aint worried about a harsh ride at all, im used to it from my old erst and cossie

just found the standard stuff was to loose on the rear and so it would slide the back out a little due to the twisting of the car

wanna get coilovers to stop that, if its that bad on the road ill use my BMW for everyday instead

Unless they offer full bump and rebound damping adjustment theyre useless and where they are full adjustable the three way damping adjustment (bump, rebound and spring pre-load) makes then an absolute b*stard to set up correctly. I understand the rudiments and I had all on setting my bike up with only one wheel at each end (which makes it far easier).

Further to that: Ive never ridden in a car thats had coilovers that have been set up anything like properly. They bang and crash and the car handles like a tea tray.....

Something else thats always overlooked is that if you greatly increase the stiffness of the dampers then the force has to go somewhere (and a silly strutbrace isnt going to make any difference).

on road i agree but on track even without being set up properly i noticed a huge improvement over the standard set up

If you presume that there are ten bump settings, ten rebound and ten pre-load positions then I make that 1,000 possible settings per corner.
