Thumbs up

Just been to Robinsons for my 30k service and saved 100 quid compared to my local dealer.

Whilst I was waiting, they gave me a test drive in the UK STI in the wet. I had decided that my car was perfect. Erm, here's a hint: don't try an STI unless you can afford one. The car is simply sublime from the brakes to the handling to the power distribution to the diff set up... *sigh* even I was drifting around a wet roundabout with the **** out. It is such a wonderfully balanced car.

Thanks to robinsons for excellent service and friendly banter. I'd recommend these guys!

Nick.

You've met my wife...

Greg, seriously, do NOT test drive one unless you can afford it. (Commission from selling Ipaq navigation systems due? )

Stunning. Absolutely stunning.

Anyone want to buy a kidney?

Well if you sold all that ICE stuff, I reckon with a trade-in you'd be almost able to swop it

Had my eye on one since they came out, not driving one yet...............maybe nearer the end of the year.

I though 30k was a big service, how come they did it whilst you waited, couple of hours I would have thought.

Nick,
test drove that one last week, damn it handled great on slippy roads and even thou i drove it quite carefully it was more precise and the brakes were outstanding compared to the MY00, its just in a different league and you can just feel the diffs doing their job but what about that 6speed box thou? and soooooooooo much pull down low, you wouldnt think it was a car with only a couple of hundred miles on the clock would you! (had 100 on when i went out in her!) but thats the reason im getting one, cos its just such a well balanced and all round better car than my scoob (and i can afford the repayments ) damn its just one amazing car (even an evo7 driver swapped after going out in it!!)

I'll be at Robinsons on Monday to have my car serviced - wonder if they'll swap the 1.8 GL courtesy car for a new STi?

Was that yesterday?

My very good friend DPS said he been out with a "customer", who had put it through it's paces including a little sideways action.

Naah, today Mr F!

The esteemed Mr S did indeed let me have a play, but only slightly sideways. Marvellous car. Truly marvellous.

The gearbox is to die for. Short, smooth and a damn effective way of getting the most out of the engine - married to this engine it is just a peach of a combination!

Wife didn't hit the roof when I mentioned changing. Need to pay off this one first... I have a Cunning Plan.

LOL! i wish John but i got the missus into subaru's so it looks like we are going to have to put up with 2 and not 1 lol! she wants the house finished first before we move in there and then she'll get her STi but it may be next year before that as shes got to pay the builders first (her house see so she wants to pay for it) but im not too bothered 1 and a vitara will do for the moment

Question

Who are the sales people at Robinsons now? I bought my two scoobies from them when Greg was there, but I heard he left a while back.
