Nooo, don't be silly

I was running 215/40/17 tyres on my old Scoob, with adjustable gas shocks and Eibach springs. never ever scrubed, even if I had a car full of her mates from work etc (fatty Patty's etc).

JAMSCOOB on here has my Scoob now. Pm him, I'm sure he'll say the same.

Mine is lowered on Prodrive suspension, and running 17's - what I would say is that although the car will feel a lot more planted, some lowered suspension is very stiff, so if the car is a daily driver or you do a lot of long distance mileage, country roads etc... then I would think twice as it may start to annoy you after a while.

One of my buddies has a turbo2000 (00) and has Eibachs and whiteline roll bar drop links. I drove his car and am saving up to do the same to mine because it feels superb!! (He has had them on his car for 4-5 years with no ill effects) The Eibachs (Around £160-170) are "progressively" wound and are not too harsh on ride, plus if lanes bashing is your thing you will love the difference!

You are all right about the Eibachs being planted, but if the OP is wanting "the look" then they are just not low enough.

Check my profile out I'm on H&R's mine are advertised as a -50mm drop but in reality we are looking 30-35mm max against the standard turbo springs, H&R are what's called a progressive spring so they are comfortable out and about and when you push you feel them firm.

My car runs quite low but there are only two places I keep away from and one is a bodged up speed ramp in work not that it goes there much but if I do I go in through the exit the other is my uncles driveway that has a steep pavement approach and a steep drop down onto it.

I run 18's on mine 215/35/18 and have never had any rubbing issues and had 17's on the same set up without problems... also used to use my old 16's as winter wheels.

On 16's

On 17's

On 18's

Mines not a daily driver anymore so I don't mind the firmer ride these day's.

How's that Brun

TBH if i was you i would really try to find a set of STI v5/6 red shockers, because i've put these on my RB5 and i'd have to say it's one of the best mods i've done, there fantastic and not too harsh.
