Default Performance exhaust for classic

OK people if I wanted to change the exhaust on my UK classic so that:

a) it gives the best increase in performance
b) it allows for future power upgrades (nothing silly, just the usual)

What would you go for?

I read a lot about the Blitz Nur Spec R etc. but mainly about how loud they are, I want to know which exhaust is the bets for performance and if it sounds good too then that is a bonus.

Also do people with the loud exhausts like the Blitz struggle getting passed the noise tests at trackdays?

LOL, thanks for that But is it any good performance wise? Or are there better quiter alternatives.

My goal is performance first, noise second.

Avoid the Blitz if you're doing track days. Mine was 110db (de-catted) without the bung, and 104.5db with the bung.

OK thanks, would it be any quieter without the de-cat?

Only a tiny bit.

I believe the HKS Muffler is a good one to go for.
Nice note, free flowing, but without being too loud.

A true 3" system will give u some good gains or 2.5".
Id personaly go for a 3" just in case of future modifications,
i.e big power.

I have a magnex twin dump down pipe (decat)
and a 3" hks system. Seems to work well!
