Hi, when i bought my MY99 new i got the wing mirrors colour coded. Now after 9 years they're looking a bit worse for wear, with chips and flaking laquer.

I fancy putting standard black ones back on, and there's a few on ebay, but was there different wing mirrors for pre-MY99 models?

I'm not sure if there is too much difference, I put an older facelift classic set on MY00 as there were electric folding, only things I noticed were the actual mirror glass on the import set has got more rounded edges compared to the uk square edges.
Another thing was the base plate on the import was metal rather than the UK plastic. But I'm not sure if that was down to it being the elctric folding type or not.
