closed deck block ?

hi there just got myself a closed deck block for my new x plate 2000, ive just pulled it apart to see if all is well and seen it has the oil sprayers under the pistons the old block didnt have them. could anyone tell me if this is std or a mod also my car is runnig an sti ecu so would i be better off with the 94 wrx cams ie; (the ones that came in the closed deck engine) or are they the same ones as a my 2000. thank for any help

The MY2000 crank will not fit unless you have the block modified. you will need to use your existing heads and the MY94 cams will not fit your heads

Under piston oil squirters are standard on CDBs..
As mentioned above you will need to have the block converted for the rear thrust crank...
Have you had the crank checked...?
You could also build a 2.1 stroker using the 2.5 crank as it is cheaper than a new 2.0 crank....
