Default advice on new age backbox on a classic ?

is there any problems fitting a new age backbox on a classic 1998 impreza ? I have put the new age exhaust next to mine and if looks very similar in shape and the brackets look the same ? Don't want to take mine off if it's got no chance of fitting.

Backbox should fit, IIRC there might be a difference in the front hanger (not one on the classic) but yer it fits straight on I think.

Yeah, I have a classic backbox on the 06 STi at the moment (but only until Sunday ) and the only difference appears to be one of the hangers can't be used on the 06 as it's on the wrong side IIRC. Fits okay other than that though so would imagine you'd have the same going from a newage to a classic as well.

Yup, cut the forward hanger off and it will fit like a glove.

I just cut the first 2" of the bracket off, welded a 4 or 5" bolt on in between to extend it and then welded it back onto the bracket, worked a treat,
