Default Just a quickie

If am looking at de-catting the downpipe, will it need a remap for it, and what would happen if i just install in without a remap

It would benefit from a remap, but if you don't remap it your left foot will fall off which will save you a fortune in socks but you'll look daft

Won't do any harm to your car Steve, as it's a classic. Only newages really needed a remap after decatting.

You can easily decat your classic, but only downside is unless you remap you won't get the full benefits power wise.

Good example being my now sold red classic, which was also a T-plate like yours. Had a Blitz Nur spec-r if you remember, full 3" decat. A guessimate at about 235bhp? Remapped, it would spank 265-270, maybe even 280bhp with a 3 port solenoid and walbro fuel pump.

Erm, in a nutshell.... your car won't die if you decat and don't remap.

mmmmm its already running 270, so think will save that little bit more and get fuel pump as well and then remap

Have you already modified it then Steve? Standard you've got 215bhp, so wheres the extra 55 come from?
