Any help with installation of an avcr into a 56 plate, 07 model hawkeye wrx would be appreciated. Wiring information to ecu in particular as well as boost solenoid connections as installation instructions supplied are not too clear to put it mildly.

Sorry to be a nuisance but your OEM ECU should be able to cope with all the AVCR can handle.......In gear boost control etc.

I'm just curious why you are fitting one ?

Im sure someone will confirm if this is right or wrong but Im 90% sure this is they way I did my06 - not sure if they are the same
please dont try it unless someone can back me up

Red - B136 pin 24 - A/C Switch
Purple - B136 pin 22 - Engine speed output RPM
Green - B137 pin26 - Power ground (negative)
Black as above soldered 1cm further along wire
Grey - B134 pin 18 - Throttle pos, signal
White - B136 pin 13 - vehicle speed signal

BTW yea the installation instructions may aswell be in Jap eh!!!!

Thanks for the info i'll run it by my mate whos helping with wiring...out of interest is your ecu a 4 plug with 7 pins across each plug?

As to why its being fitted. It was recommended to provide the equivalent of having 2 maps to control the td06 49 turbo being fitted. Setting A set at 1 bar for round town, setting B for the track/ring at 1.4 bar. Setting B also to limit bhp to under 400 until i can afford forged internals and oh yes a ppg gearbox etc.

 

There are options on your ECU for Dual maps ........... the crudest being a swap using full throttle while pressing the screen demist LOL
