Default type r v6

Hi,

I may be going to look at this over the weekend:

Subaru : TYPE R STI VERSION 6 TYPE R 2 DOOR

could you kind people give first opinions on it, done alittle research (still alittle torn between p1 and type r), what is the difference between the version 6 and the 5-4 etc.., were these also known to have engine failures??

opinions on the car would be most appreciated.

king regards,
al

hi mate,

looks like a version 5 to me, no lip spoiler and it looks like a version 5 spoiler (no flick up at the end) although as there's no shot from above can't be 100%.

Not really very cheap. Type Rs at £8k will still be on sale in 6 months time.

The market for all Imprezas is on its knees. I would say thats priced properly to sell.

I would check though that the wheels fit properly. I thought after 04, STI wheels were the wrong offset for classics.

Looks like a 5 to me also. If it starts without having to depress the clutch it's defo a 5. Price seems about right to me but as with any import treat the mialeage with a pinch of salt. By on condition and what the owner is like.

Yep, the engines do tend to go, I've spent a fortune on my new one
They are petter than the P (I wanna be a typeR) 1

Don't think its a v6 as I can't see a roof vent, even from the picture angles, you should still be able to see it.

It is a V5, no front splitter (lower one)
My V5 Type R is running 400+ on the std block, all seems strong as long as you look after it and dont go crazy.
