Just woke up to someone putting a large plant pot through my windscreen and kicked my drivers door in.

Police just left about 1hr ago, they have a very good idea who has done it. A little $hite who is up in court next week for doing the same to 3 other cars.

Quick question, as Ive never done a windscreen replacement before. Do I get new plastic trim at the top of the window included or do they just reuse it.

 

I had Autoglass replace cracked screen on my 03 car recently and I'm pretty sure the trim came with the kit. Presume you'll get Autoglass to do it anyway on your insurance.

BTW I difficulty understanding why anyone should do this sort of mindless vandalism. Have you done anything that might have upset this moron.

What triggered of the moron was he was slagging of my birds mate { telling people she was having an affair }. So the bird told her mate and it came from me. Then her mate jarred him and said I told her.

 

unfortunately no it doesn't, the guy is probably a bumm with no income, so will get let off scott free, or may get community service which he won't turn up to.

Now the bit I left out from this morning.

The police told me this lad we suspect was up in court in April 2008 with 117 charges for various things, from breaking into houses, vandalizing shop windows, vandalizing cars and so on. All he got was 200hrs community service as he was treated as a minor in the courts.

I know I wont sleep easy at night now, as Im expecting more damage to be now.

I cant get the car fixed until mid next week, as I live in the middle of nowhere and they have to ship the parts I need up from England to Inverness then to me. On the trim side of things RAC have ordered it aswell as the screen. The door, my mate has a bodyshop so I will get him to sort it for me.

 

Feel for you mate - a few years ago I parked up at a train station and within minutes of leaving my car some ****** had smashed the window a nicked the sat nav and CD. He also managed to smash up the steering wheel and wind deflector in the process of putting the brick through. He was nicked a few weeks later and fessed to breaking into 300 cars in 2 months! Needless to say he only got a smacked bottom and sent back home to his mummy.
They should bring back stocks in the town square for these muppets. This way we could all get some serious pay back!

 

Seriously. If you know who the lad is, where he lives etc, then wait for him one night.

If it was me, knowing the courts will do very little in the way of punishment, I'd give the lad the biggest kicking of his ******* life.

The only way these type of people learn not to mess with certain people. If you get any backlash from him or his mates, then do the same again and again till he gets the message.

 

Not even that - they should chop the little ba$tard's fingers off - see how remorseful he is then!

 

i didn't necesarily mean financial penalty or confinement, but more that he'll do it to the wrong guy one time and end up in intensive care (if he's lucky!!!)

2 of his mates have grassed him up to me. The little $hite is in hiding at the moment. The best bit, one of his mates is my nieces boyfriend and has given me his hiding places.

Me & few of the boys are now are wanting to have a little chat with him.

I had a similair thing happen last month and they put my front windscreen and rear windscreen through. the poo-lice couldnt have given a **** really.

As for this ****** getting what coming - thats the problem he wont get jack all in the way of a sentence, i'm betting < 3 months or a community order.

With regard to your windscreen, the side bits just clip on, make sure that they dont put too much glue on the clips or water wont run away as this is the main rainwater channel. the strip over the top can be re-used but really they should replace it, unless they pull it off safely it wont stay in shape.

Believe me, once a ****** has been "told" by a few big angry men that he'd better pray for the security of the local cars, they don't do it again!

Exactly. wouldn't want a toe to toe battle with this guy. This sort of scum bag tends to be armed too. Much better to get a group of mates together, scare the hell out of him and make the point that if anyone so much as breathes near the car he'll get a proper kicking.
