Blue Lights
A while back i was fined by the plod for having blue lights on the front of the car. Now the lads just done a VOSA course and he's been told that blue lights are not illegal, only if they are flashing or revolving. I've been robbed, they done me up like a kipper guv, i'm going to watchdog, the european court of human rights, amnesty international, gay pride, Esther Ranzen, Peter Thatchel, Blue Peter, Tiswas, Rolf Harris, the wizard of oz, Sir Alex Fergurson anybody. Thats it, thats it i'm angry now, there's going to be trouble, they don't know who there dealing with, do they not know who i am?

FPMSL !!!
Funny as mate
Although VOSA is a seperate entity to the old bill.
I read somewhere that showing blue lights to the front could be classed as an offence under the road traffic act 1988.
Under lighting regs...

When the officer told me that my blue lights were illegal i says, "well you got em", then he says, "well i is a police officer and that is a police vehicle sir" so i says, "so it one law for you and a different law for me is it, what about all the truckers with all different coloured lights on the front of their tractor units?" He says, "one of my colleagues is on the M62 right now as we speak rounding up all these truckers for displaying illegal lights". Then he says to my wife, "has this man been drinking madam?" and she says, "no he always like this" and then he reads me my rights and gives me a ticket and also a producer, and says, "on your way sir, have a nice night".

I think blue lights look cool, but only on a silver car. At least i aint yet resorted to pink stickers like someone else on here and bragging about it. Not even a chav would take that route!!!

Anything other than white to the front and red to the rear is illegal (orange indicator light excluded). this is why they can do you for neons etc. Why would you put blue lights on the car anyway? Asking for a pull IMHO
EDIT: as above this includes reflective stickers. However, parked up on private land it should be ok. Just don't drive on the public roads with them on.

I was told by the PC at the time that all lights displayed on a car no matter what colour, white or otherwise and are not a standard factory fit are illegal.

Recently, an enthusiast in a restored Green Goddess was nicked for having a blue light fitted to their behicle, even though it was fitted with a canvas cover whilst used on the road..... The laws relating to this are draconian and not usually enforced to their fullest extent (this was a **** of a PC), but Id always expect to be nicked for having a visible blue lamp and rightly so.
