leaking spoiler!
Right, gonna attempt to take off my spoiler at the weekend and sort the bleeding leak out - boot is like a pond at the minute! I've not got a clue about how to go about this, or even solve the problem! I've noticed that there is a rubber seal where the spolier meets the boot, do I need to replace this - or will I just need to put some silcone around the bolts? Told you I was thick

I wouls soak the bolts in WD40 overnight having cleand the threads.
Likely the spoiler is stuck on with automotive mastic stuff as well as bolted or could be sillicone.
Remove the spoiler carefully and clean up the the mating surface of the boot and spoiler.
liberally coat both surfaces (where they will touch) with sillicone sealant and put back together.
Tighten the bolts a bit at a time each until all tight
Sillicone should leak out all around, clean off with a damp cloth turning the cloth regularly.
Use exterior grade sillicone and make sure it is the clear variety, it often looks white until it cures mind!
However, being a classic is may be your rear light clusters are leaking!

Hi Paul, cheers for the info mate - to be honest the only thing that points to the spoiler are the bolts on it - they are a tad rusty! It's just one of those elimination things I think - gotta start somewhere! Will be looking at the lights next, then the boot rubber! But thanks again for the help
