Default national ebc brakes offer

Disks and pads on my 2004 WRX need replacing soon, I still have the discount voucher from the Gathering so price for a set of EBC Ulitimax slotted disks plus red stuff pads looks good. The question is are these any good? The recent thread on pads suggests that they may be rubbish, anyone able to comment?

Thanks

Stair

What are you looking for in a pad?

Redstuff wear away very quickly.

I tried EBC redstuff ceramics on a 00MY Impreza with OE discs. They wore the discs very quickly, leaving a lip. I think you can get better for a little more

Disagree, had red stuff and yellow stuff pads on ebc discs on my00 turbo. No issues, great brakes.

What's the deal with National?

If you went to the Gathering at the end they were giving out a voucher from National Tyres offering EBC disks & redstuff pads fitted for £349

In answer to what I am looking for, since my disks need changing soon anyway, is an improvement on the OEM bits I have now on car that is used every day, lots of motorway and relatively little very hard use. H&S exhaust + remap.
