Question

For my birthday, my girlfriend bought me the Duke's Video Subaru Impreza Story.

Now as I being a 'trainspotter geek', or is it quite inaccurate with no content???

Less than 2 minutes in, there were two inaccuracies, many more followed:

1) 22B has 300bhp
2) Engine capacity on a normal turbo is 1998
3) Long wait for a UK turbo!!

[Stopped counting after that!!!]

Also Mr Goode doing sales pitch for his company. Rather than talking generally about tuning a Subaru.

Mr Croney, was interview as if he was an owner, rather than a man who is SIDC chairman and owner of ScoobySport!!!

Also did you guys who appeared in the video, allow them to show your number plates??? Just a thought!

Anyone notice that when the P1 is introduced, the camera is pointing at an STi?

Or did they do that on purpose?

Rich

EDITED because I can't spell my own name!

Andy

Sounds like your grumpy becouse your car is off the road. Nice attempt by your girlfriend to cheer you up but sounds like the vid lacks quality - perhaps we could do better ourselves?

I thought the entire video was poor and boring. The best bit and most entertaining part by far was Stef's spin

Many innacuracies, kept calling the P1 a 22B and Vice versa...showed a picture of an STi 5 v ltd complete with roof vent instead of P1, as has been said before, they had the potential and the footage to make it a much better video. Oh well....we'll just have to better it with a scoobynet video

I always thought that an SIDC trackday/event summary would make a good video for the end of each year showing track footage from various cars, external footage (a little bit like scoobytrax)but with more of it and now that the sidc has a more complete calendar and more members + bigger budget, would be good.

They could also do a vid on mods showing the different sounding exhausts etc.

But people, you've forgotten the most important thing about Graham Goode's contributions...a cure for insomnia

As you probably all know we Scoob owners are mostly a bunch of insomniacs, as wittnessed by the popularity of 'chat' around the midnight hour...I have the tape left in my bedroom video just on the Graham Goode Interview...gauranteed to cure any insomnia

Question

As Andy mentioned the power of the 22B, is the spec in the attached link correct? I thought a 22B was one and the same car and not a Jap one and a European one. According to this spec the Euro 22B is no better than a stadard Turbo.

Wurzel

I think that link is showing the standard UK specs in the left hand column and the 22B specs in the right hand column.

Damn... Just realised that makes me a blasted trainspotter as well..

Ah well ... Clear a space at the end of the platform

A simple YES would have done!!!

Martin,

Yes it was good of my girlfriend to buy it for me, I dropped enough hints!!!

I'm less grumpy now that the repairs have been authorised, so now I need make sure that the garage sees this!!!

Nito,

It was ironic to see Stef talking to camera about somebody spinning off, and about 5 seconds later, see a clip of CK 1 going off!

Ronnie,

I can't return my girlfriends present!!! Especially with me going on about it since before Xmas!!!

Steve,

The only reason I mention the 22B power, as it has been much in dispute until one goes on the rollers. No way it has 300bhp as standard. Maybe with some minor mods!!

Richard,

There's always space on the platform, no normal person likes standing next to the geek!!!

RichS,

If you can't spell you name yet, there's no hope for the rest of us!!!

Gusie,

Not really complaining, but where can I get one of those TRAIL kits from, for a 4 door car...... Oh and a yellow respray!!!!
