Does this site makes it all worth while

This is a very good site, Imprezas are good cars, but are they worth having when they are looked upon as something that gets nicked. Probably without this site with all its info at hand I wouldnt be the owner of an Impreza now, but having my car broken into makes me think otherwise. I want to keep it but my heads telling me to get something else.

You're right - this is a very good site.
So's your car - keep it.

P.S. - easy for me to say, I know - you're the one who's had his car broken into. But still - do you really want to let the scum decide for you what car you should have?

Can only say that other cars are subject to the same abuse.
Parked in a carpark next to my mates D reg Polo...
the walked past my Scooby and screw drivered his lock and nicked his stereo...
Nothing is safe... all you can do is buy one of those steering wheel locks that covers the whole wheel... then when you change cars (for a newer Scooby) you can use it still. Rather than an alarm that goes with the car and you have to pay out for again.

I won't be getting rid of my scooby, despite the attempt to steal it last night. Yes it is at a high-risk of theft when compared to a micra, fiesta, polo etc but thieves will take ANY care they can lay their grubby little hands on - a bloke was car jacked near me last week for a standard Renault Laguna.

It's not just scoobs that are nicked. It's every car. I'm sure if there was a Vaxhuall Astra BBS as popular as this one you'd hear about x's car being stolen. The other day some lady in a merc was carjacked. Scoobs are more at risk than a Micra sure, but car crime is endemic and will continue to be so long as it's not treated as seriously by the magistrates as say speeding.
