Sleepins S'net Staff !
E-mailed mods about a saddo posting links of a dubious nature yesterday and guess what still no action taken !
Back in the day complaints would have been dealt with promptly.
Maybe, it is actually one of their ads.

In the moderators defence, I dont think that theyve ever had a deal of power. That was retained by Simon, who now hardly ever even looks on SN. I know that its in the offing, but perhaps its time to leave Simon, whilst theres still something left of a once decent site?

Yes, but ScoobyNet is going down the toilet. Simon is seldom here and no one else is doing anything. Ive always supported SN and thats what Im doing here. Along with many others I dont like whats happened over the last eighteen months or so and Id like something positive to happen to secure the sites future.

Thing is we dont know what goes on behind the scenes or what 'Webby's involvement is since IB took over.
From what i gather he's a busy bloke and moderates when he can.
Its not perfect (never will be) but i've gained a lot from using this forum i.e. advice, tuning, banter etc.
Every forum has blips and this is the norm but i have seen a lot worse on other forums!!!!

He is busy, but SN needs proper moderation, a webmaster who can give the board the required attention and mostly, direction. SN has lots of problems that need hands on solutions. Post rating and infractions are appalling, the dont work (they cant, the reason for using them precludes their ever working) and they were only brought in to reduce the admin overhead. Scoobynet also has a growing issue with dishonest sellers: the tools are available on a VB board, but no one has any interest in utilising them. Much smaller boards than ScoobyNet have managed to deal with the problem, but SN makes no effort to and it seems to be encouraging thieves now.
All of the above are current issues, rather than my bitching about whats happened to the board over the last eighteen months too, which hasnt done it a deal of good...

Ok i agree with you on that, but none of us know the financial implications of this, i.e. paying someone to do it. I/Us also do not know the exact involvement of Internet Brands.

I agree that more should be done -
This is the list of moderators on here -
IanW, Little Miss WRX, Puff The Magic Wagon!, sammyh, NAF, Miles, Dyney, Chris L, Alec, JohnS, Scoobychick, ChrisB, DrEvil, Silver Scooby Sport
Why dont these guys do something. Im a moderator and a group host on 2 other forums and we have the power to step in when things get out of context. We dont get paid for doing it and do it because we have an interest in keeping the sites healthy and free from scam/scum etc.
Adim need to give the power over to the Mods if he/they are not capable of being hands on here. Just giving the Mods control to only move threads on here is not ' Moderating At All '!!!
Seeing that there are 14 Mods on here, they should be split into sections to moderate each section. If a few Mods are into Technical then send them there - same applies to Security and so on!
Like i said, it doesnt cost a penny to employ a Mod. If a Mod has an interest in this site then he/she will do it for reasons of interest.
Ok, rant over........ill get my coat

I emailed webmaster over 3 weeks ago to enquire why my Scoobynet plus membership suddenly got downgraded to 'regular' 3 months before it was due to expire. Not heard a dickybird since. If by any chance any of the moderators happen to read this, I would appreciate an explanation!!
