VF34 or TD05-20G ???

Default VF34 or TD05-20G ???

I have all supporting mods but which is better VF34 or TD05-20G on a U.K classic AWD ????

All replies much appreciated, the more the better so i get a better idea!!!

20g with supporting mods would be good for towards 400 bhp and the 34 upto 350. The 20 would in most cases be too much for the std gearbox and pushing the engine internals
What is your present spec? What is your aim?

TD05-18g would suit UK revs better than a 20g and is more capable than a VF34

Also consider a 16g if you target is under 340bhp

It just so happens I will have one of these for sale in about 4 weeks or less (Zen will be taking it off.... I will also have 550cc injectors, AVCR boost controller and the Ecutek ECU monitor by PSI3......) THis will get you car flying........

present spec is-

FMIC
Pipercross induction
Boost controller running 15 psi
De- cat 3" exhaust
Magnecor HT leads
Iridium plugs
Steel head gaskets
Ported and polished heads
Walbro 255 fuel pump

I will also be adding stainless manifold header and turbo up pipe along with 550cc injectors and a re-map.

I had a TD05 16G front entry conversion on my bugeye and had to have it mapped a bit on the conservative side so as not to break the gearbox !!

Push your luck with an 18G

As above, if you go down this route, budget for a 6 spped/PPG gearbox!
