Hi,
The Mrs and I are currently in the search for our first scoob!!
We were looking for a Classic Turbo 2000. But have just had a quote for a JDM V5 WRX STI.... This has changed our whole outlook now
For an extra £30 p/m we can have the STI!!
Are there any pros (apart from the obvious ones
) or cons to owning the STI over the Turbo 2000. What are services like etc...? If the car is not remapped to UK fuel does it need 99 RON fuel like they sell at Tesco or Shell. Also how much approx would a remap cost to make the engine more stable on UK fuel.
The Mrs prefers the look of the STI and I wanted a Scoob in white so could be onto a winner.
Sorry for all the questions, purchasing a JDM car scares me a bit

Oh does anyone have any tech specs for the V5 STi?? Cheers....

I have a Turbo 2000 and if I was looking to buy now, I'd go for the STi with out a doubt!!
The only thing that the UK will do better is be less thirsty on fuel.
If the STi has been in this country for a while I'd expect it to have been mapped for UK fuel anyway (but do check). Most are mapped for V-Power or Tesco 99 anyway. I use V-Power in my UK car.
Scoobynet would be a good place to find a car for sale because you know you'll be buying from an enthusiast that has looked after the car well.
