Hi all got a new blow off valve with the fmic it a HKS rep and it must be universal but having a problem on how to connect the bov to the adapter that was supplied with it .... there is a rubber O ring and a horse shoe shaped bit of metal but cant get it to go together .....has anyone had any experiance with these bov's and kindly point me in the right direction.......much appreciated

 

post some pics of what you have, the o-ring is the seal and the horse shoe thing is a circlip this holds the valve and adaptor together they are simple but can be a fiddly thing to fit

 

sorry cant get a pic up but it looks like the horse shoe shaped clip would fit in the outer ring of the adapter and the rubber o ring would sit in the middle but its trying to get the horse shoe in and then get the adapter on the bov.........sorry thats the best i can do at explaining it hope that helps

 

Leave it as standard. Dump valves are for chavs.

 

yeah some love em some hate em on here mate if you get the outer cover off the dump valve (the chrome main body bit) put the clip around the valve then offer the adaptor and seal up then you can use some pin nose pliers or some circlip pliers to compress the clip using the two holes squeeze them together being carful they like to fly off sometimes mainly in yor eye lol with a bit of skill you can feed it in the groove and lock it in place hope this helps
