Default Blitz Nur Spec "S" on it's way!

Well my Afterburner centre section was fitted a few weeks ago and after wanting more noise compared to the Prodrive BB the Blitz was ordered!

Should be fitted this weekend so hopefully I'll be a happy bunny

Back Box with a 3" pipe to 2.5" flange connection V's Backbox/Centre section 3" pipe to 2.5" flange connection.

Looks identical and sounds superb. Logical way to get a blitz if you already have a de-res centre pipe.

As far as I am aware the S is the BB only with a 2.5" pipe which joins the existing centre section.

The R is the BB and centre section together with a 3" pipe reducing to 2.5" as it meets the standard cat pipe.

You're in for a nice surprise then

3" pipe 2.5" flange for connection to existing factory size centre pipe

53WRX - is there much diff in sound between the S and the R when the S is joined up to a deresonated centre section?

Would you ever change from a Blitz? I see that you've experimented with various exhausts!

Not really, 2.5" centre will probably drone less with the Blitz than the full Spec R, sound wise not much in it, but the bigger the bore the deeper the roar The 3" piping on the BBox makes a hell of a difference to the quality of the burble. Deeper and more convincing than some of the rice boxes you get.

The 3" system I have on my classic is really loud and I wouldn't want that on my SpecD. When I first had the Spec S I thought it might be too loud, but getting in the SpecD after the classic it's blissfully quiet ...ish!

I would never change from the blitz, only change I would make is a quieter exhaust for my track classic so it doesn't get black flagged.

I've got a blitz spec s on mine with an afterburner centre pip. its as loud if not louder than my mates spec r(he doent really rev it though lol), but the rumble is about the same
add a downpipe and it sounds like hell let loose!!!
