Default Help me identify this part please.

I want to remove the recirc dump valve from our bugeye WRX and this is the replacement ive got, but are they the same? Anyone recognise it, i think it may be from a classic as its a slightly different shape.

This is the one on the car at the moment...

Any help appreciated

Edit: it looks a different shape but i dont know whether thats because the aftermarket recirc is the wrong shape or the replacement we have got.

You have already said it...........it's a recirc dump valve.
The one pictured on the i/c looks like a vent to atmosphere Bailey d.v.
They appear to be the same fitment although a classic d/v will not fit the newage i/c.
Really easy to check if it fits. Just remove the 2x bolts and slide it to one side to check everything lines up.
The classic o/e d/v has the outlet pipes going to the right [I think].
Doesn't it say WRX on the recirc d/v? They are the same fitment as the STI one.

Yeh, it does say WRX 2000 on it but the top edge looks more rounded on it, whereas the one on the car looks flatter along the top edge, if that makes sense.

Yes, the recirc one you have won't fit you i/c. Any newage one upto the hawkeye will fit and if you want a recirc they are usually peanuts on fleabay.

You will need to remove the bung in the recirc pipe to allow that to be reconnected to the recirc if you go down that route.
