Pics of lifters please?
Anyone got any pics of lifters please?, showing the difference between solid and hydraulic?
I have taken a cam cover off, and i need to know if the heads are suitable to use for my engine build, i do have a thread running in technical with pics of my heads, if you can help it will be greatly appreciated, thanks

No pics, but I saw your previous thread. I think you will be hard pushed to see any differences really as it's all contained under the lifter.
Unless there are casting marks on the heads, either external or under the rocker cover, I think you might be hard pushed to tell.
Perhaps if you got close up pics of the later STi head from different angles (solid lifters) you might be able to tell some difference to the wrx heads which are generally hydraulic.
I take it you want the higher rev limit?
Good luck in the search

Thanks for the post mate, yes i do want a higher rev limit, its just i managed to get hold of this engine for next to nothing, (someone owed me) and as it is a cdb probably from an ra v2 onwards, i just want to make sure that i dont go and buy some v4 heads or equivalent when i have them sat in my garage.

I've got both in the garage but no pics. Take the cams out, extract lifters. If you google lash caps and see these under them, then you've got v2 ra heads. I presume the other solids are lifter sized discs?
