Feel sorry for the people who have lost money and jobs, but amusing to see the darkside squabbling amongst themselves. Not just Scooby owners who do that then

Been keeping an eye on that post for the last few days.

Blame was put on someone called Danny by RC, but when you read all the posts from the MLR members there's no way it's down to just 1 person.
Clive and Max involved too especially with moving parts and stock over to Car Planet.

Shame for any car enthusiast EVO or Subaru to be ripped off by any company.

Let the arguing commence....

More seriously, some big money cars, with few customers around = trouble !

Feel for the guys(customers) who have lost money in all this. Doesn't make for good reading tho'. Poor show from RC, IMO.

the mroe i think about it the more it sounds like its been planned for a while (at least a year since they first new things were going bad), the director left, they took in as much cash as possible and then closed down and shifted it all across, while i dont think he's in anyway shape or form innocent i do think this danny blokes been given a ratehr raw deal, but i wouldn't hire him to wash me toilet at home

It all does sound a bit suspect. I can't believe that two partners in a company would completely delegate all financial responsibility to an MD (who seemed to be appointed on the basis that he had a 19% share in the company) and not implement any external control over how the finances were being managed, or any monitoring of the business practices/customer feedback over that period.

Given the kind of things that were going on there, it's hard to believe that they didn't have grounds for investigating earlier. I don't doubt that this Danny fella has a big hand in the downfall of the business, but it's only because of serious negligence on the part of the other two that it got that far! As a previous poster has said: if you can't devote sufficient time to a venture to spot problems of that magnitude then you should get out!

At the very least any new business started up by those two should be boycotted on the basis that (good though they may be as tuners) their business acumen and common sense are highly questionable!!

What amazes me is that people spent money there! It always came across as a dodgy outfit when you visited. Customers cars sat collecting rust outside which did not look like they had moved for weeks on end.

Clive posted a response on page 73

"I cannot avoid the fact that people / customers of RC Developments got burnt under my directorship and at this moment I can only apologise for my failure as RC's director.

I can contest the accusations of theft which I have done so in my previous post.

I can show evidence of Danny's underhand dealings within RC that IMHO caused the majority of problems, leading to its insolvency.

I can show evidence of customers dealings with Danny away from RC and therefore outside my observation and control.

I can prove cash dealings (many) from people with Danny in the knowledge that I was not to know. These would have been obviously favourable dealings towards the customer and a gamble they took.

I foolishly failed to police these transactions and in fact ANY transactions at RC as I was far too trusting.

I foolishly trusted a conman and A GOOD CONMAN IS PLAUSABLE.

I don't expect everyone to believe this was possible as some have clearly made their mind up but those who know me will hopefully understand how it did go so wrong.
Clive"
