Not watched an episode for about 3 years now. The only thing I complain about is the BBC have basically ditched a good car show for slapstick purile drivel. Maybe they should show TG after Eastenders as clearly this is the audience they're after

I think they've actually got some car stuff in this week
Copied from TV Listings:
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May travel to the US to take a road trip from San Francisco to the heart of Utah in three new-generation muscle cars, hoping this time to avoid a mob of angry locals pelting them with rocks. Back in the UK, the Fiat 500 Abarth gets a test drive and Will Young is the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car

Anyhow, if I choose to watch tv I have probably 200 channels, tv on demand and 47 hours of pre-recorded stuff to watch. People moan because there is no BBC show that deals with cars, like the old TopGear. Put this show on after Eastenders and keep the D's and E's happy. Leave the rest of us though with a quality motoring programme.
Yes you're right, Clarkson is like Marmite. He looks like **** and leaves a bad taste in your mouth

p.s. Not sure what a quality motoring program is, we could go and do what the Germans do with theirs and dissect every technical aspect of every new car or we could stick with Fifth Gear which has turned itself into a watered down Top Gear.
If I want to find out about new cars I buy the magazines or search the net. If I want an hour of entertainment with some cars in it I watch Top Gear. May is the only sensible one on it but just imagine how dull it'd be if they were all like him. Clarkson and Hammond at least attempt to liven things up no matter how scripted they are. Good car based entertainment.

roll on 8pm, i love top gear! not because of the info on cars or which is the fastest. i watch it because them 3 are so different to each other and the things they do and say are hilarious (most of the time) and there little trips/activities they do aswell. only bit i dont like is the star in a car.....
if you dont like it watch something else or maybe try going outside

apparently it clashes with "Britannia High"
so my kids have told me -- so i,ll have to wait for the repeat
however I do like marmite -- but still think clarkson is a bit of a tosser
scrap that -- misinformed

You know what, I give up, the TH massive have actually convinced me NOT to watch it any more. I'd actually be interested in the Fiat bit, but that's it, and as under the TGM rules, I shouldn't watch it as I don't want to pray at the altar of Clarkson, it's being wiped from my planner. Your like Man Utd fans, the slightest hint of anything other than sycophantic drooling and you you start yelling "Burn the heretic"

Well I will be watching it coz it makes me laugh.
If I want in-depth reviews of cars, I read them in magazines, if I want petrol-head type entertainment with a bunch of laughs thrown in, I watch Top Gear.
There was a motoring programme some time ago (the name escapes me as it was dull as fookin dishwater) and they had one particular reviewer/presenter (I think they called him Ken something or other) that gave a dead straight review of the car he was testing..........it was quite possibly the most boring television I have ever seen PERIOD!
Long live Top Gear!!
Down with the haters.........if you don't like it, don't watch it, and then when you "haven't watched it" don't come on here moaning about the programme that you watched even though you don't like it, just so that you could have something to moan about on here!!

I'm in agreement there. Still fart arsing about, but not as much predictable stuff as with the lorries last week.
Roll on next sunday when the usual suspects turn up at 7pm and say the same 'we don't like it but say it every week it's on anyways' same drivel
