I've yet to see a another black one, on the road or for sale ex-demonstrator. I've seen lots of yellow ones for sale as ex-demos because, as my dealer said, they got yellow demos because they draw more attention, but (no offence meant to anyone, only my opinion and taste is an individual thing etc etc), it's pretty gross yellow.
I was suprised that i was still able to buy one about 6 weeks ago when they were launched a good while before.

Sport Special
How did you get your Sport Special/Special Sport non-turbo to make the induction/turbo sounds that a 'proper' Turbo makes, is this something to do with the Turbo bonnet you fitted? hehe
P.S - not trying to start an "Turbos are much better than sports" arguments honest, just interested

Shark - I had my original ECU remapped on a Vectra by Superchips.
They just plug into the ECU and upgrade the software on there - the only drawback is that the dealer/service agent can do the same to check it and reset the ecu to its std settings if you do not let them know it has been 'chipped' when it is in for a service. The Superchips dealer gave me a 'key' with a serial number on it should the ecu get reset, they will reprogramme it for around £ 10.00 as long as you have the 'key'
Superchips quote something like 15% more Pwer (BHP) and 12% more torque for non-turbo engines. Mine ran much more smoothly once done.

Re mapping the ecu gave me an extra 15 brake horse. This was done under warranty so its all ok. It makes it lot more torquey.
The back box gives a good sound and prob around an extra 5 bhp. Certainly helps it breathe easier.
Best thing about sports is cheap insurance.

Any probs with fitting SS backbox?
Planning one soon, I'll run it past my dealer when in for 6 month service.
Does it affect your warranty?
I believe I'm the only Mica Black owner in the North of Scot. Out of the 3 local dealers up here, Aird Motors were the only ones interested in dealing, and the only dealer to have WRXs for delivery right now.
Cheers
