Wink

Yours is a 5 door code
G = Impreza

GC8 = Impreza saloon
GF8 = Impreza wagon

After GC8 or GF8 the folllowing letter is the Model year code

GC8A = Impreza saloon 1994
GF8A = Impreza wagon 1994
GC8B = Impreza saloon 1995
GF8B = Impreza wagon 1995
GC8C = Impreza saloon 1996

Next number is how many doors

GC8A4 = Impreza saloon 1994 4door
GF8A5 = Impreza wagon 1994 5door

Next letter or mumber = model type 8= WRX E= STi D= STi R 7= STi RA (not certain of these codes)

GF8A58 = Impreza wagon 1994 5door WRX

Next letter or mumber = gearbox D=5 speed P=Auto

GF8A58P = Impreza wagon 1994 5door WRX Automatic

This should give you a rough Idea how it works

ordering parts best to know the Model year and the model type

IIRC IMHO

Tony
