If you use the search facility, you'll find tons of threads in drivetrain and general, just in the last month!

Hi Mirage
I've had mine on the car (4dr) for nearly a year now and I luv-it, it gives a really nice rumble, I've just driven it for the first time with the seats down and I now think I'll go everywhere with them down. I think a few people think that they are a bit loud, I guess it could be if you have a 5dr.
Get one!

Best thing to do is to have a listen and judge for yourself.

Check out the meets section for your area. I see you are in London - where abouts? E-mail me if you want to get together and listen to mine in the SW London / Kingston area.

Mirage the Scoobysport box is a fair bit louder, but your neighbours won't hate you. The backbox not only changes the volume of the noise but changes the tone and accentuates the boxers distinctive offbeat warble. I was in the same boat as you but heard the Scoobysport back box at a meet and was converted. Its a glorious sound.

I'm in North London so email me if you want to have a listen.

mirage. Thinking about this myself so I went in a friends my99 to oulton yesterday. I noticed it was a bit noisy on cold start up bnut when warm was not much more noticable than a normal exhaust, until the foot is planted hard that is. Then a lovely rumble from the flat four. Outside is a different matter though. It is a bit noisy but very enjoyable. You really do feel like a mcrae/burns!

Note to the North London guys....

e-mail me and we shall have to meet - anyone else in the area interested in regular meets, say in a reputable drinking establishment.... I know of two others that would join me - any other takers ?

Mirage

I think the Scoobysport system sounds great - a couple of friends have it fitted to their UK MY99's.

BUT, I tried a couple of exhausts myself on my MY94 WRX last week - Dyno'd in the morning at 242bhp with standard exhaust.

Following the addition of a Mongoose full system + HKS Induction kit, read 285bhp in the afternoon!

Not too expensive, sound characteristics are the same as the Scoobysport system (nice warm burble) and a massive power increase!

But, listen to a few at some meets, make sure there is a performance benefit rather than just a different tone, and see what you like.....
