Default newbie with question

Hi Guys, just got into impreza ownership after swapping my redtop powered sunbeam for a 96 wrx import.

im sure this forum is going to be a wealth of information for me and hopefully I can bring something to the table to repay the favours in the futre!

car has a couple of niggles that you may be able to help me with

1. water is getting into the boot, ive checked the boot seal and there isnt any obvious damage, any ideas?

2. has a meta cat 1 alarm fitted and when unlocking the car intermittently the indicators will stay lit rather than just flash once. I ended up driving home with the nearside indicators lit constantly! again any ideas on this?

thanks in advance

Number 1: Remove the spoiler, and silicon where the bolts are.

OR, do you park on a hill, with the bonnet at the lowest end, so the boot is higher? As I do, and mine is leaking, and I think it's because the 'drain' cant drain due to it facing the wrong way, and it fills up like a pool and creeps in.

leak through the spoiler would make sense, I will have a look at that at the weekend, is removing the spoiler a big job?

2 Bolts at eitherside I believe, very straight forward, I owned a wagon though so can't be 100% certain

I park mine on a slope also - never leaked before but resealed the spoiler also and it is now much less

Two bolts you can see, two hidden under the rubber bungs which pull off. The the front was held with a couple of plastic clips which just come out when you pull it vertically
