I think the prices are a good reflection of the car 19,995 is a good price regardless of what it goes for when the deal is done.... not all subaru have to be cheap cheap cheap its one off they best models ever produced... and the last of true impreza....if i was going to put mine back up for sale it would be going up for 20,000.

These cars have all been put up in price by £1000 recently, the same cars were for £18995 before.
J P. had a few for sale at one point and they were another 3-4 on with private sellers about a month or so ago, and a guy off here then sold his back to them (I think, which was then sold on to some one else with a few fibs (again I think ) ).
They are asking top money now for these examples (Litchfield import money-remeber their reputation with these cars). No doubt they are good examples but i think some negosation would be a good idea as they have been on the market for a while and turning up with some cash on the table (about £17500 -18K ) would be a fair amount.
P.S If you do have look make sure its got all the paper work for the MAP and upgrades (check for fibbing )

totaly agree with what your saying as well i am not looking i have my own.
its just not all subaru have to be cheap all the time...
And i am realistic with what price a deal would or should be done at with these being up for 19,995.... at JP..

It does seem however that some scooby's hold there money a bit better Spec C's, Mk1/MK2 T25's, WR1's and RB320's are the one's get

I think the recent rise in Spec C prices is due mainly to the sterling devaluation against the yen. As the Spec C is an import with most of the ones comming on the UK market from Japan (not recirculating UK cars) the cost of buying an importing one has risen sharply. The knock on effect is that all Spec C prices have gone up even ones that are already here, with UK owners.

Spec C ownership is still a very small market compared to other new age cars, they are initially cheaper to buy brand new over a "normal" STI but they go for higher prices at auctions to uk buyers, and as you mention Rick, its the value of the yen thats doing it.
This time last year it was 180+ yen to the pound, its alot less now, so it puts up the value of the cars that are being imported.
Still 50% of those people who buy a spec c dont have them for more than a few months for various reasons (not a dig at anyone either)

Tony,
Do I get my gold watch soon then.... four years in my hands this coming March. The longest I have EVER owned any car. But then I have spent another x2 worth of Spec C's modifying it.

Delighted to hear that they are holding their price. No intention of selling mine after just over a year. What 4 door 4WD turbo charged flying machine is there out there to match it? Unless of course you go over to the dark side and switch to Evo IX or X. (The way things are with the new model that may be the only option in future).

The main reason for price increase for spec c's is that it will cost atleast 20k+ to get a decent one from japan with todays exchange rate.
