Default Whats your 0-60

Whats your 0-60 time?

Im a new scooby owner an the last guy told me this car is 4.7 to 60, I think thats a bit optimistic to be honest

its a classic with 300 BHP/ 260Ft/Lbs torque, anyone else here got similar and know what your 0-60 time is?

4.7 to 60 is easily possible in a classic with that sort of power.

Mine was ~6.5s although I have seen 5.8-6s, when it was 215bhp.

I timed it recently with the iphone dynometer app, which is pretty accurate, now with 265bhp/270lbft and it did it in 4.9-5s consistently. Probably could do better with more aggressive starts n a dragstrip.

^^^^^^ ROFL!! An extra 50 BHP takes a second off your time?

Cool, so I'll have nearly 400bhp over standard. I must get that software for the I Phone mine should do it in under a second going by that theory lol

Do I need to be giving it more beans in the scooby?

**** off u tool readup on the app it is rated highly. I did 10 launches all results were very close and in the 5s bracket, which seems spot on for 270bhp to me, seeing as the standard car has been recorded at 5.5s.

0-60 requires an element of brutality and skill.

Now 30-130mph is much more interesting.

I know what you mean Shaun the MLR do this all the time, would love to do this myself. Maybe that could be an event we should do .

Dougwrx,
I may look at organising such a spectacle in 2009. I have appropriate timing equipment and I know a number of people want to give this a punt.

I've just found some interesting info on the old i-phone dynomometer
iPhone Dynamometer Application - DynoBox
The second paragraph of section 6 of the tutorial makes interesting reading?

Yes mate paul did 3.9sec to 60mph but 7.8sec to the 100mph, my times were done with pump fuel so would expect a 8.0 with the nitrous on

Never really bothered, but 400+ bhp in a New-Age should be quite un-shabby ?

dunx

P.S. The "calc" says 3.7 seconds.... I doubt I could manage that really !

LOL no Shaun I get regular 1.6 60ft on road tyres

York now have the timing gear for 0to60ft and 0to60mph one in the left lane and one in the right.
