Default Just curious......

.....but my cousin has just bought himself a nice shiny black RS4 (the new shape one).

In the interests of errrrr.... I dunno..... one-upmanship...... I was just wondering what sort of power/torque would I have to be pushing to (1) keep up, and (2) leave him comfortably behind......

If I start with a standard 03 blobeye with PPP.... what sort of serious mods am I looking at?

Just curious....

an audi rs6 estate has roughly 286BHP per ton, Where as your impreeza has about 207 bhp per ton. therefore to keep up with him you will need and extra 80BHP ish, to leave him comfortably behind you will need a considerable amount more than that.

3957 lbs and 414 bhp = 235 bhp per ton !

That's going to need around 300 bhp in a classic and nearly 350 bhp in a new-age, just to keep up.

HTH

dunx
P.S. You should be fairly close, and I should kick it's RS !

Thanks guys.... so I take it that the keeping up could be easily achieved with some choice mods.... (and weight shedding)..... easing past may prove more elusive..... for now

I'll get onto the phone next week and make some calls.....

It really depends on how brutal you are, my pal "KojaK" mostly keeps up with me (STI) in his WRX, but I never launch mine, an Exedy should allow this next month !

LOL

dunx

P.S. A decent set of headers a de-cat 3" exhaust system and an Ecutek re-map could get you to around 350 bhp !

£2K = sorted !
