Default Ebay turbos

why is there a vast difference in prices of turbos depending on if you buy from somewhere like Area52 Autosport of Ebay

I have seen this, and fancy it as I wantone but it seem too cheap (if there is such a thing)

They are copies! There is no guarantee they will make the power that the real ones will make.

It depends what you are after power wise and how much you want to spend.

Well I don't agree with your opinion.

What matters is the sellers reputation, not 'Ebay turbo's'. So are 'Scoobynet turbo's' better?

I have sold a TD04 on Ebay. Had 50k miles in full working order, no play in shaft etc and a garage bought it. Positive feedback was obviously left.

Buying any 2nd hand car part carries a risk wherever it is from.

320 BHP from a uk turbo, ive already got everything else I need except a fuel pump and beyond that I reckon im just asking for trouble so thats my target.....for now.

How much I spent im not that bothered, aslong as its not stupid money id rather spend the money and have sumit thatll do the job right than buy ****e and regret it when it goes bang.

Youre missing the point spectacularly. Most turbos for sale on ebay are nasty Chinese items misrepresented as Mitsubishi TD05 20s etc. This has nothing to do with a bloke selling his old FE'05 or '04.

No, you're missing my point.

Again I refer to this post which I totally disagree with.

I am not referring to Chinese or any other misrepresented turbo's.

a lot of performance stuff that is sold on ebay is cheep rubbish, but then again some of it isnt.there are quite a few major tuning companys selling there stuff on ebay now.for instance scoobyclinic is selling turbos and other parts, tsl and zen sell stuff on ebay.alot is down to knowing what to look for.
