Default What Model is my Car??

Hi,
I have an 02 Plate bugeye impreza. Ive had it for over a year now and was looking at insurances again. When searching confussed.com, having typed in my registration, it came up with "Subaru Impreza WRX UK 300"
My logbook however, states the car is "Subaru impreza WRX STi Prdrive"
Can anyone shed any light on this? Also, anyone know what the BHP of my car is, based on which one of he cars it is!
I know it has had the prodrive upgrade (i have the certificate).
Heres a picture of the car,

Thanks in advance
Craig

It looks like a STI Prodrive Style to me
Think all the UK300s where blue and based on the WRX

Looking at the pic you have a MY02 "prodrive style" with a couple of mods (it came with orange side markers Etc)

The "prodrive style" was a cosmetic makeover only and Prodrive only converted 100 in black if i recall

The optional performance pack (PPP) was carried out by prodrive after the original sale to get around the emissions regs at the time

Just looking at the pics it looks like you have one of the 100 Black Mica bugeye Prodrive Jobbies

I'm sure there is a link to the other 99 here on scoobynet ..

As above although not to contradict Midlife, I think "Prodrive Style" was used for the JDM version. I believe its one of the most rarest Imprezas because it was based on an RA shell and has a roof vent AND has the nicer looking front bumper as yours has.

I've only ever seen a pic of one on here outside Gran Turismo and I'm not sure if it ever got a UK plate due to model report issues.

I actually prefer the black bugeye prodrive STIs over blobeye for some reason.

Eddscott is right in that the first "Prodrive style" bugeyes were JDM but they had a low rear spoiler

When the "prodrive style" uk model landed it had fog covers (no lamps) and a high rear spoiler

but it was still called a "prodrive style" LOL

Thanks for your responses fella's.
Midlife - are you saying my car is 1 of 100? or have i picked that up wrong? lol
I presume when you say "black mica" your refering to the colour. My car is classed as "black blue" isthis the same?
When you say about the orange repeaters original.. that would make sence as i have a reciept for the clear onces an have the orange ones in the boot (previous owner swapped them).
Sorry for all the questions, you experts have probably been through this loads o times with lots of different people. I never ralised there was so many different models of imprezas! Ive been a member on here for a whil but only started browsing alot recently and looking in members gallery (some v nice cars in there) you realise theres loads of different models!

Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to reply and explain various things to me, i do appreciate it

Your car is a WRX STi Type UK (prodrive style) ie has the big rear spoiler as opposed to the low spoiler which was on the first type UKs so it is 265bhp. That is what is logged on IM's system anyway. Regards Gary at Chandlers Grantham.

It is 305 if the PPP is fitted and you have certificate.

Congratulations Craig,

You have bought my old motor.... wondered when and where it would turn up. I changed the side repeaters and gear **** and it also has an STi panel filter. You should also find my old SIDC membership card in the tax disc holder. Hope you enjoy her as much as I did. And it is 305bhp by the way.

Did you fit the mudflaps?

Simon

My mate bought one back in 2007 some time around Sept, It took 8 months to get it on the road and spent 4 months with a company that gets cars through sva tests etc.

Its a rare car to begin with but even more so in white.

Btw these do not have DCCD, that started from 03 jdm's onwards

Just for interest.........

Here's a pic of the ill fated Bugeye RA (it was way too lardy and slow and was soon killed off ) LOL I apologise for the modding, it wasn't me!

Looking closely the aerial is in the a-pillar (phase I bugeye) with roof vent.

The Prodrive style (JDM) and S202 have the later phase II "RA" body with the aerial in the rear screen heater plus the roof vent

The UK prodrive style just has a UK phase II body without the roof vent

I'll get my coat....
