From who ?
We have fitted and mapped some 50+ SimTeks in the last year and have never had cold, hot or any other kind of starting problems that could be related to the ecu.
The base maps supplied for every version are excellent and any tuner worth his salt should be able to sort any issues.

I keep hearing of a Solaris ecu.........is this a competitor in price and functions alongside the Simtek.????
Not that i would change my curent ecu (Autronics)as it performs perfectly...ie factory idle/cold start.....just curious...

If a car suffers the issue then the ecu can be switched by SimTek to the latest spec to resolve.. it only effected a very small number of newage cars.

Cold idle can be an issue with any Map based ecu as it is not possible to see the car at every temp.
It is a map issue not an ecu issue.
Sometimes a visit to sort is need, speak with who mapped if not 100%

Thanks Banny.........a well known name in the world of Subaru and mapping popped up on the Solaris forum..
A fairly new ecu aimed at the high end of motorsport it seems.
