Sorry to hear that, As I have posted in the past I seem to get attacked by French cars all the time.
Think of it this way, with the pay out and current car prices you can get a turbo!!

Well thought out.

Bad luck. With you compo and insurance payout you should be able to get the car back to it's former glory with some new shoes perhaps.

Totally know how you feel. I am sadly in love with my car, my wife thinks I am lame but I have a huge emotional attatchment to it. Problem some issue during my upbringing has caused this irrational behaviour !!

My UK Turbo got rear ended in 07, took me ages to get it sorted, new boot (Thanks SwissTony) and new rear bumper, new exhaust etc. Pain in the A.

Now its all as it was I am happy bunny again. I took it out for the first time in 3 weeks yesterday as it was sunny and nice - in love again !

Why do people always assume that you only have a Sport cause you can't afford a turbo?

i have a sport and that was cos i cant afford a turbo but now i have it i think of all the plus sides over a turbo like insurance isabout 1/4 the fuel goes twice as far and it still looks just as sexy so at the loss of a track day a year when i can burn it up i think sports are a good choice though saying that i do have sti seats and a turbo bonnet lol so i feel like im driving one

I bought one as a run about while I raise funds to rebuild my STI. Can't fault it in any way other than it isnt as fast.
I tried running a FWD run about but I couldn't cope without 4WD

Does 30+ MPG and I don't fanny about either.

30+ mpg, thats some fuel economy, im lucky if i get 26 mpg, an thts on a good day lol, i must kick mine tooooo hard lol, sayin that i av got a boot full of sub an amp an my bonnet vent goes nowhere so i may av a small drag problem lol, the k&n air filter kit makes a HUGE difference tho, still unsure how many horses it adds if any, i was told maybe 3 but then told poss 20 cos of the extra direct air intake , not too woried bout tht tho, still corners like its on rails, god i miss my scooby lol

Great to hear she's back home - no doubt a tearful reunion.

I am always in trouble at home for refuring to my Scooby as she or her and am told it's only a car...............oh no it's not!

Like you I've only had her for 8 months and she really is the best thing I have EVER driven. The sad part is that I decided I didn't want to risk the ice / snow / salt, so decided to take her off the road for the winter - and am counting the days til the sun is shining and the open road beckons!

Unlike yourself I can't leave the wife at home - as that's me - and I have to let the hubby drive - if he's been good (though I have threatened to report him for TWOC if he goes out without me LOL)

Enjoy your joyful reunion & watch out for the TANKS on the road.............

it's a fact really. a non-turbo impreza is pretty pointless.

lem6, that is a reply of a ****, when i was 19, insurance on a turbo just wasnt acceptable, so i bought a sport, it was nothing like a mondeo, it was exactly the same as my RA except the power, looked a lot better than a lot of turbos ive seen and now at the age of 21 i have a turbo, your comments are the reason a lot of people say scoobynet is full of idiots!!!

head over to .:ImprezaSport.net:. and ask any of the members if their "mondeo" is pointless.
