This place does a decent battery with a 4yr guarantee for £55 delivered:

Car Batteries, Cheap Car Batteries, Replacement Car Batteries, Next Day Delivery from Perfomancebatteries.co.uk

The 2nd one down is the same one a Tim recommended, which is better, but costs £77 on his site.

My 1st battery died after 6 months (possibly due to the extra security I have fitted), so I replaced the poxy 48Ah battery with a £38 60Ah battery and thought my problems would be solved. Even this doesn't help when the car is left for a week. According to a feedback comment about the Varta Asia battery, this will start an Impreza after 2 weeks no probs, compared with a few days with the original.

I now stick a battery optimiser on the car when I'm not using it, even if its just the weekend. I've done this for over 2 years now, but might give the Varta a try.

Another vote for PerformanceBatteries/. I got a Alphaline 56068 to suit a MY04 WRX. The site tells you what battery you need, it was £55 and delivery was quick.
