right. i know this is a very chavvy request. but i want flames! i dont want a fire, i want a nice pop with a flash. What do i need? and can i achieve it with a cat in place? (classic sti so only one cat).

no flamer kits, dont want no screw in the zaust, just want a nice poping/bang with some flames.

All i was going to do soon is back box with removal of center resonator. (scoobyworld sports back box)

do i also need to decat (and then remap)
do i need a vta dv?

Currently running fully stock engine with stock zaust. And wondered what measured would be required.

Been behind a few cars which let off a nice pop/flash on the track (just before i over took them), but it looked good, sounded good, and ads that little bit of intimidation factor.

Not possible with a cat then? Will a dv require mapping in? I hear the pops come from the air being lost after the map. how bad would this be for the engine? all that fuel without the air as its vta'ed?

i thought you could have it mapped with the pops/bangs..because people on here were saying that after a while it does pi55 you off??

I had my old blue impreza mapped to pop and bang which is awsome on short journeys but long ones can anoy the hell of you.

Sorry to hijack this a bit i have a full decat poping all the time, but no flames, alrite am i right in thinking if i get a VTA i will get the flames

Had it mapped in about 18m ago. I love it. Rarely tire of it.

Pops or double-pops almost every gear change and about 4-5 times on over-run from 3.5k down to 2k.

After a spirited run, bangs (read explodes!) anti-lag style, or if just provoked with feather of throttle. Makes a right noise and lights up the road. Eliminates tailgators too.

I also have a full decat, and VTA, I get plenty of popping, but as above no flames, how come?

Doesn,t ALWAYS happen fella, mappers can map the car rich to get flames on over-run, mine flames quit nicely, especially after abit of spirited driving..

Ahhh i see, so there is no hard and fast rule of what Mods will make it pop....

Bob mapped my car, have a word and i,m sure he,ll sort you out.

I never mentioned flames to Bob when he mapped mine, he just did his mapping and for some reason i have them....
