RB5??!
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm not that clued up on Classics, more a newage fan myself
Anyway, have always thought that the RB5 is an STI underneath, but after reading something it appears not.
Is the RB5 basically a WRX with PPP and a makeover (grey paint, foglights, etc etc)

Its one of the better UK special editions to have. Personally I'm not sure I like the colour. I have been thinking about getting one.
I believe the colour is because Subaru gave RB a grey STI as its been on here before and is that grey colour.

215bhp from the factory.
There are loads of RB5's without PPP or WR pack.
It is merely a limited batch with different different trim/paint.
STi only applied to JDM models up to V6.

Evo have done the same in their 'The Knowledge' where a RB5 is listed as a PPP next to a standard UK Turbo.
